Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after a car failed to stop at the scene of a serious collision in Acton.

At 7.59pm on Thursday November 19, a car was in collision with a pedestrian in The Vale, Acton.

The pedestrian, a 53-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to a west London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the silver Ford Galaxy failed to stop at the scene; instead driving off towards Hammersmith.

The driver is described as a black man, aged in his 20s. The car sustained damage to the passenger side wing mirror.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, based in Alperton, are investigating.
