These pictures show the aftermath of a collision which closed Harlington this afternoon.

A car was left destroyed after it collided into a lorry, with its wheel completely bent and glass shattered across the road.

Hillingdon police were called to the scene at around 11.40pm after reports of a road traffic collision on Monday (February 13).

Metropolitan Police officers said upon arrival they discovered a driver had been in a collision with a lorry and images taken at the scene show the severe damage to the vehicle.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.44am today to reports of a road traffic collision at Harlington Road, Hillingdon.

"We sent an ambulance crew to the scene.

"We checked over a patient at the scene but did not take them to hospital."

Harlington Road between West Drayton Road and Lees Road was closed for around an hour as emergency services dealt with the incident.

The Met Police said at 1.10pm: "Car verses lorry, Harlington Road closed between West Drayton Road and Lees Road.

"Recovery now on scene road will be opening very shortly."
