A man was rescued after London Fire Brigade attended to a flat fire in Fulham on Sunday July 30.

Four fire engines and 20 firefighters were sent to tackle the fire in Oswald Stoll Mansions on Fulham Road at 7.46pm.

Half of a three bedroom flat, on the first floor of the four floored block of flats, was damaged by fire.

A man who suffered from smoke inhalation was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service after fire fighters, who were wearing breathing apparatus, rescued him.

A further two people were treated at the scene of the incident which, attended by fire crews from Fulham, Chelsea Kensington and Wandsworth fire stations, was over by 8.54pm.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: "The cause of the fire is thought to be acidental."
