A person was hit by a train in Hayes on Saturday evening (July 1).

Emergency services attended the scene at Hayes and Harlington station at around 5pm.

The condition of the person hit is currently unknown. getwestlondon has contacted British Transport Police for further information.

All lines through the station were closed while the incident was dealt with, which meant all trains from Paddington , including the Heathrow Express, were cancelled for about two hours.

Lines began reopening with trapped trains being released at around 7pm, Hayes & Harlington, West Drayton and Iver and Langley stations remained closed for longer.

Delays lasted for the remainder of the evening on all Great Western Railway services departing from and arriving at Paddington, although Heathrow Express services were back to a normal Saturday service by 8pm.
