A man in his 20s is in a stable condition in hospital after a collision with a van during rush hour in Hanwell .

The collision occurred at around 5.10pm on Wednesday (November 15) on The Broadway, Uxbridge Road.

London Ambulance service and Metropolitan Police attended the scene near the junction with Chignell Place and the road was closed on both directions.

The man was taken to a central London hospital for treatment where he is understood to be in a stable condition.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman told getwestlondon that his injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

The road blocks at Coldershaw Road and Eccleston Road were cleared just before 8pm and traffic returned to normal.

At its peak, traffic was at a standstill between Drayton Green Road to the east and Iron Bridge to the west.

Police in Ealing are continuing to make inquiries.
