A pedestrian has been killed following an incident with a lorry in Fulham on Friday (December 16) afternoon.
Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were called to New Kings Road junction with Fulham High Street at 3.30pm following reports of a traffic collision.
The male pedestrian was treated by paramedics but died at the scene. The London Air Ambulance also attended, landing in Fulham Palace’s Walled Gardens.
Putney Bridge, and roads surrounding the area are currently closed, with Wandsworth and Hammersmith and Fulham Councils and police advising motorists to stay away from the scene.
The driver of the lorry involved stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
It is believed the man is aged in his 80s.
Police are now in the process of informing his next of kin. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
The incident is being investigated by officers from Hammersmith and Fulham and the Roads and Transport Policing Command.
