A man is in a critical condition in hospital after a collision in Park Royal.

Police were called to a collision involving a VW Polo and a male pedestrian on Acton Lane, Park Royal, near to Central Middlesex Hospital at around 6:30am on Saturday morning (July 18).

The man, believed aged in his 20s, was taken to a central London hospital by London Ambulance Service where he is currently in a critical condition.

Road closures were put in place while the scene was dealt with.

The road reopened at around 10:15am.

According to a statement by the Metropolitan Police, the driver of the VW stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made.

Police are appealing for witnesses and believe there were several other men with the injured pedestrian, who left the scene before officers arrived on the scene.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, part of the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating the incident.
