Three young men have been arrested by police investigating the fatal stabbing of Patrick Oyeri in Hounslow earlier this month.
An 18-year-old and a 24-year-old from Hounslow and a 23-year-old from Acton were arrested on Tuesday (September 19).
Patrick, aged 29, died at the scene in Rosebery Road on Monday September 4, despite paramedics attempting to treat him for his injuries.
Police were called to the residential road at around 3.35pm to reports of fighting between two groups.
When they arrived the groups had dispersed but they found Patrick, laying on the ground with a stab wound.
Paramedics from London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance treated him at the scene but he succumbed to his injuries and died at 4.18pm.
A post mortem carried out the following day indicated that he died from being stabbed in the liver.
Patrick's sister, Katherine Oyeri paid tribute to her brother as she appealed for witnesses to come forward: "A father was taken away from his five-year-old daughter, a brother was taken away from his siblings and a son was taken from his parents: he said 'see you later' to his mother in the morning, with her not knowing he would not return.
"No parent should have to bury their child, and no-one should ever have to die alone, suffering and helpless.
"Whilst we as a family are trying to come to terms with our tragic loss, the police are doing everything possible to make sure the perpetrators are prosecuted.
"We want justice for our gentle giant.
"Our family are appealing to the public to help us seek justice, to help us strengthen and come together as a community.
"We ask anyone who knows anything connected to this horrible crime, no matter how small, to please be brave and come forward with what you know.
"We appeal to you to help us all stand against violence in our neighbourhoods."
