Dramatic footage used during the Parson Green Tube trial has been released in its entirety - ahead of the expected sentencing on Friday (March 23) of the man convicted over the explosion.

Sunbury teenager Ahmed Hassan Mohammed Ali was found guilty of attempted murder at the Old Bailey on March 16.

A jury unanimously convicted Ali of causing an explosion on a Tube carriage at Parsons Green on September 15, 2017, injuring 29 people.

The eight-day trial went through details of how an Iraqi refugee went from being student of the year at Brooklands College in Weybridge to plotting a mass murder.

Released by the Metropolitan Police, videos from the trial include the moments before, during and after the explosion.

During the trial, Ali was accused of packing the bomb with shrapnel to cause maximum carnage, buying the metal items from Asda and Aldi in Feltham the day before.

Metal nuts, bolts, screws and socket heads as well as knives and screwdrivers were recovered from the scene of the attack.

Ali used hydrogen peroxide as one of the components needed for the homemade bomb.

The Iraqi refugee, who said he "had a duty to hate Britain," can be seen calmly making his escape on a train to Dover, prior to his arrest.

Jurors were told Ali timed the bomb to go off at Parsons Green station during the morning rush hour while he fled to Dover.

Ali said that after he planted the bomb, he planned to cross the border from Dover to France and that his final destination was "home".
