The parents of a teenager who was fatally stabbed outside an Eid celebration house party in East Acton have paid tribute to the student and boxer.

Mahad Ali, aged just 18, was fatally stabbed on June 29 outside a house party on Coronation Road near Park Royal after a fight, which police believe may have begun inside the venue before spilling outside.

Police were called to the scene at 2.35am and found Mahad with several stab wounds. He was rushed to a central London hospital but died at around 4.33am the same day.

A post mortem exam ruled stab wounds to the chest and abdomen as the cause of death.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on June 29 but released under investigation. A 21-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of murder on July 2, but has been released on bail.

"Our shock and sorrow remain unabated. The last weeks have been a very stressful time for our entire family, especially for Mahad's younger brother.

"Our son was an easy going young man who showed respect to everyone with whom he came in contact.

"Mahad loved boxing and belonged to Islington Boxing Club for the last decade. Until his violent death, Mahad was attending Westminster Kingsway College."
