The victm of a stabbing remains in hospital for a third day following a knife attack near allotments in Northwood Hills.

A 60-year-old man received a stab wound to the chest and is said to be in a non-life threatening condition.

Police confirmed he was still in hospital care.

The Metropolitan Police said on Wednesday (September 6) morning: "A man remains in hospital - his condition is non-life threatening.

"No arrests. Enquiries ongoing."

Police said they were called at 4.21pm on Monday (September 4) to Joel Street to reports of a man armed with a knife.

The London Ambulance Service attended to find a man suffering from a knife wound and was taken to a west London hospital.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Joel Street, Northwood Hills

Next of kin are being notified.

Hillingon Police are investigating.
