Who needs defenders, especially at £70m?

Does Antonio Conte believe attack is the best form of defence?

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has adopted a novel approach to saving money on defenders - all-out attack.

If you're constantly laying siege to your opponent's goal, the theory goes, you don't have to worry too much about keeping them out at the other end.

He appears to have settled on the tactic after balking at the £70m price tag quoted for defensive duo Kalidou Koulibaly and Alessio Romagnoli from Serie A.

"If I have to choose one form of defence, it's to attack," Conte mused after his side dispatched Burnley 3-0.

However, he conceded that would leave the Blues vulnerable to the occasional "strange goal" - apparently his euphemism for breakaway strikes.

Hyde Park Corner was second on the list, with 72 accidents, and Lambeth Bridge West Bank, also in Westminster , was fourth, behind Waggoners.

Notting Hill Carnival fun in pictures

Spectacular floats and headdresses, scantily clad performers of both genders, the obligatory dancing police officer, and even a dog in a hat - this year's Notting Hill Carnival again served up a plethora of visual treats.

Europe's biggest street festival saw the usual crowds throng west London's streets as they were transformed into a riot of colour, funky beats and mouthwatering flavours.

While the vast majority of revellers managed to enjoy themselves safely, the carnival was not without incident.

There were more than 450 arrests - the highest number in a decade - and eight police officers required anti-viral treatment after being spat at while on duty.

She's one of the early stars of this year's X Factor , and she hails from Harrow - or "North Weezy", as she refers to her home town.

Honey G won over three out of four judges on the show to earn a place in the bootcamp, despite Simon Cowell being visibly unimpressed.

The rapper's unconventional style and private school background led some on Twitter to question whether she was a prankster.

But the 35-year-old - who was a child tennis star - set the record straight, insisting "there is nothing fake about me".
