Two teenagers from Harrow accused of murder following the daylight stabbing of a man in Northolt have been cleared of all charges.

Abdullahi Tarabi, 19, was recorded on CCTV shouting "back the Ramsay" – meaning bring a knife – as he ran for his life through a housing estate in west London.

After sprinting down an alleyway, the teenager was heard shouting “Ah” after he was fatally stabbed in the stomach at around 3.15pm on April 11.

The horrific stabbing cut a major blood vessel and left part of his intestines hanging out.

Members of Tarabi's family, who live close to the scene, left the Old Bailey in tears after video and audio footage was played to the court .

Two 17-year-old boys, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, charged with carrying out the murder , were on Wednesday (October 4) cleared of his murder following a two-week trial.

Shortly before the jury returned the not guilty verdicts, jurors asked if they had “to be unanimous in determining a verdict of self-defence”, in relation to one defendant.

After the acquittals, Judge Nicholas Cooke QC noted “very few people are prepared to help the police” with murder cases.

“Had somebody helped the police , the outcome might have been different,” he added.
