A teenager is in a life threatening condition in hospital after a stabbing in Northolt .

Police believe that the victim was attacked by a group of males who left the scene on mopeds, on Saturday (November 18) night.

Officers were called just before 10.30pm to Newnham Close, Northolt, to reports of a male stabbed.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, was taken to a London hospital by paramedics.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "His condition is believed to be life threatening.

"At this early stage, it is believed that the victim was attacked by a group of males who left the scene on mopeds.

"The victim's next of kin are aware."

A crime scene remained in place the following (Sunday November 19) morning.

The A4090 Whitton Avenue West is closed in both directions.

Police enquiries continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and no arrests have been made.
