Officers investigating the murder of Jason Isaacs in Northolt have arrested a teenage boy.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested at an address in Brent on Wednesday (December 20) on suspicion of murder, and was taken to a north London police station.

It is the fourth arrest made by police as part of the investigation.

Two other teenagers, an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old male, who were arrested on suspicion of murder on December 12, have both been bailed and released under investigation.

A 17-year-old boy who has been charged over the murder is due to appear at the Old Bailey on February 20, with a provisional trial sate set for April 30.

Police found Jason with multiple stab wounds after they were called to Newnham Close in Northolt at just before 10.30pm on Saturday, November 18.

London Ambulance Service took the 18-year-old to a London hospital where he remained in a critical condition.

He died in hospital on November 21. A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death to be a stab wound.

Detective chief inspector Noel McHugh, who is leading the investigation, said: "We continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the attack, or anyone with information to come forward.

"Our suspects are four people riding on two mopeds.

"At least one of them was not wearing a crash helmet.

"Did you see them before, after or during the incident? Can you name any of them?"

Speaking directly to the local community, he added: "I know that there are people who know who the suspects are and it is vital that we hear from those people without delay.

"A young man has lost his life.

"Your information will make a huge difference and get justice for Jason's family and help us remove these dangerous individuals from your community."

In a statement, Jason's mother made an appeal for those with information to come forward.

She said: "Our amazing, beautiful Jason went out with friends for a night out and a few drinks.

"He should have come home to his loving family. Instead he was brutally attacked, he never stood a chance.

"Our lives are in pieces. Every little piece of information is really important. For Jason, make that call, thank you."

The Met's Homicide and Crime Command are leading the investigation and a police reward of up to £20,000 is being offered for information that leads to the identification, arrest and prosecution of those responsible.
