The officers inside an unmarked police car which flipped over during a police chase in Northolt were pursuing a suspected a stolen vehicle, the Metropolitan Police has revealed.
At 1.52pm on Wednesday (September 13), two police officers from Ealing attempted to stop a car in Kensington Road, at the junction with Dolphin Road.
The vehicle failed to stop for police and, in the chase which followed, the police car collided with a lamp post and was sent crashing down on its roof.

Two police officers were taken to hospital with shoulder injuries but both have since been discharged.
A spokesman for Met Police confirmed on Wednesday that no members of the public were injured and no other cars were involved.
The spokesman said: "At 13:52 hours an unmarked police vehicle was involved in an authorised pursuit as it travelled along Kensington Road."
"During which the unmarked vehicle has collided with street furniture and ended up on its roof ," they added.
"Both officers have minor injuries but exited the vehicle immediately unaided."
Officers from the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade were at the scene after the incident.
Enquiries continue to trace the suspect vehicle, which the force said "was believed to have been stolen".
For several hours after the car flipped over, motorists were urged to avoid the area due to the closure of Kensington Road and the Southall slip from the Target Roundabout.
The closures remained in place for several hours while Roads and Transport Policing Command investigated the circumstances leading up to the police car overturning.
