An investigation into the shocking robbery of a group of children outside a supermarket in South Ruislip has yet to make any arrests.
A Metropolitan Police appeal for witnesses was launched after the terrifying ordeal that happened between 5.30pm and 6pm on Thursday, November 24.
The group of youngsters, aged between 12 and 14, were approached by a gang of three males and two girls outside Sainsbury's in Long Drive.
During the ordeal the youngsters were reportedly threatened with a knife before the gang of youths, all described black and in their mid to late teens, took the children's expensive coats.
Investigating officer, acting police sergeant James Burgess, previously reassured the public that Hillingdon Police are doing everything they can to bring the offenders to justice.
He said: “This type of offence is not common in Ruislip, and we are aware that this is a cause for concern amongst residents.
“I'd like to take the opportunity to reassure you that we are doing all we can to identify those involved, as well as preventing further offences from being committed.”
The mum of one of the victims also said her son was afraid to leave the house after the terrifying robbery.
Speaking to getwestlondon shortly after the incident, she said: “It makes my blood boil. Someone could have been stabbed last night.
“Last night he was very quiet. When he got up today he said he's not going out anymore.
“It's got to stop or something terrible will happen.”
