Value home and garden shop Wilko is opening a new branch in Hammersmith .
It will start serving customers in its new location in Kings Mall Shopping Centre on Tuesday (March 8), and bring 47 new jobs to the area.
To mark the occasion the first 50 shoppers through the door will receive a retro blender and the next 50 will pick up a £5 gift card with goody bag packed full of Wilko products.
And throughout the day the store will give out coffee and goody bags filled with Wilko stationery in Lyric Square .
On March 12 it will host a family fun day complete with entertainment and giveaways including a balloon modeller in store and the local Lyric Young Group performing a dance routine for shoppers.
The first 100 customers of the day will receive a goody bag, which includes a £5 gift card and Wilko gardening goodies.
The 5,640 sq ft store will be opened by Hammersmith & Fulham Mayor Mercy Umeh, along with Wilko retail director Robin Lassiter, branch manager Linda Tollja, and good cause Hammersmith United Charities.
Ms Tollja, said: "We are delighted to be opening a new store within Hammersmith and can’t wait to welcome the local community to the new branch.
"We are looking forward to opening and introducing customers to the Wilko great value range of quality products."
It will sell homeware and furniture, DIY and decorating, health and beauty and garden and outdoor products.
