A new line-up of staff have been appointed at the Clayton Hotel in Chiswick which is nearing the end of a £20m renovation.
Formerly known as the Chiswick Moran Hotel, on Chiswick High Road, the re-branded four-star hotel has ushered in Thomas Doyle as general manager who previously worked at the Jury's Inn in Islington.
Joining him are new head chef Gaurav Puri who has worked at Claridge’s as a sous chef, and at The Berkeley, The Langham London, and with the Gordon Ramsay Group.
Lukasz Klosiewicz has been appointed meetings and events manager, moving from Clayton Crown Hotel in Cricklewood; Gaurav Dhaul becomes director of sales, joining from Grange Hotels where he was sales manager, while Lauren Cooper joins as HR manager, from Accor New Zealand.
Mr Doyle said: “This is a very exciting opportunity for me and an important chapter in the history of the hotel.
“The completed new look will be unveiled in February 2016 when we hope local residents and businesses in the area will come and appreciate our fantastic facilities, fresh new look and welcoming feel.”
The renovation project which began in June 2014 includes an extra 104 bedrooms, upgrading of existing bedrooms, a new bar and restaurant and a lighter, more spacious reception area.
The extension and refurbishment of the hotel's meetings and events facilities has its own dedicated area with a separate entrance and foyer, eight meeting rooms and the Chiswick Ballroom for up to 350 people.
The hotel has been fully operational throughout the work.
