Hammersmith business Helix Property Advisors has supported its local branch of Mencap by donating three colourful sofas for its users to enjoy.

The company approached HammersmithLondon BID, which recently won another term serving the town centre, to see if it knew of any local organisation which would want the three large round lobby sofas, formally situated in the atrium of The Ark building on Talgarth Road .

The BID used its town friendly Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and learned Hammersmith and Fulham (HF) Mencap would be grateful for the giant 6ft sofas.

They are now being put to good use at the branch of the charity, which offers activities for people with learning disabilities, in Aspenlea Road.

Dean Ashby, operational manager of HF Mencap, said: “All three sofas are now in the activities centre and the clients love them. We would like to express our thanks to Helix Property Advisors and the BID for the big colourful chairs – I know they will be well used.”
