A new artist's impression of the college being built near Victoria Station has been released.

The Sir Simon Milton Westminster University Technical College (UTC) CGI comes as new photos of the build are released, and before an information evening takes place on November 8.

The state-of-the-art college, just a five minute walk from Victoria Station, will open in September 2017.

The new college is taking shape

It will offer 14 to 19-year-olds the chance to apply their passion for engineering, science and innovation to their studies using the latets technology and gaining the technical skills that will set them up for the world of work.

Students will also have the opportunity to work directly with industry giants such as Network Rail, Land Securities and Transport for London so that they get first-hand experience of what life is like after school.

The college site is busy with construction workers at present

Sir Simon Milton Westminster UTC Principal Designate, Karen Barker, said: “We know that over 130,000 new jobs in London in the next 20 years will require engineers, technicians and project managers who can think independently and use the latest technologies.

“Students at the UTC will benefit from a unique learning environment in which they can pick up the skills and confidence they need to step forward into these exciting roles.”

Applications for September 2017 are now open.

For more information and to register to attend the next information evening which runs from 6-7.30pm on November 8 at Westminster City Hall, go to the college website.
