Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Stanmore, is preparing to hold a special prayer for the victims of the Nepal earthquake disaster.

Attendees on Friday (May 1), will be remembering the victims and encouraging donations to support those directly affected with the necessities they urgently need.

The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal on April 20 has exceeded 6,000 casualties, devastating the region of Kathmandu. Those affected by the disaster desperately need help.

Nepal is a place many Hindus visit as part of a Hindu pilgrimage and, as a result, lives lost in Nepal are also those from India, UK and the wider world.

Shree Swaminarayan Temple is inviting the community to come together to offer a prayer and donate to the victims of those affected by the disaster.

The event will be held from 7.30pm-midnight at Hari Krishna Hall, Shree Swaminarayan Temple, Dharma Bhakti Manor, Wood Lane, Stanmore, HA7 4LF.
