An 18-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Neasden on Friday (October 6).

Police officers and London Ambulance Service (LAS) arrived in Tanfield Avenue at 3.50pm to find a crowd gathered around the teenager, who had sustained multiple stab wounds.

Despite the efforts of attending officers and LAS crews, he died at the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Wall from the Homicide and Major Crime Command has launched a murder investigation.

Police have asked for those who witnessed what happened or saw those involved leaving the scene after the attack to get in touch.

The Met confirmed the man's next-of-kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination and formal identification will be arranged in due course.

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and has been taken to a north London police station for questioning.
