The incident outside the Natural History Museum has led to traffic delays and disruption.

A section of the A4 Cromwell Road remains closed to traffic in both directions, while several buses have had their routes diverted.

It follows an incident on Saturday (October 7) afternoon, when a car ploughed into pedestrians in Exhibition Road, South Kensington.

Police said 11 people were injured and nine were taken to hospital.

Officers confirmed a man is under arrest and in custody at a north London police station.

The incident is being treated as a road traffic accident.

Transport for London (TfL) said Cromwell Road remains closed to traffic in both directions between Thurloe Gate and Queen’s Gate.

Motorists are being advised to seek other routes, with traffic heading between Knightsbridge and Earls Court.

Buses are also affected, with the 14, 70, 74, 360, 414, 430 and C1 all running to diversions and delays.
