Several people are reported to have been injured as a car ploughed into pedestrians outside the Natural History Museum, South Kensington at around 2pm on Saturday (October 7).

The Metropolitan Police Were called to an incident outside the Natural History Museum at 2:21pm.

Police have detained a man at the scene and emergency services are attending.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Police were called at on Saturday, 7 October to reports of a collision in Exhibition Road, South Kensington."

It is believed that a number of pedestrians have been injured.

Officers are on scene, and the London Ambulance Service have been called.

A man has been detained at the scene.

Enquiries to establish the circumstances and motive are underway.
