Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was fatally stabbed at a block of flats in Pimlico on Friday evening (December 19).
The victim has still to be formally identified but is said to be 33-year-old Luke Jackson from Sydenham. His next of kin have been informed.
Police were called shortly after 6pm to reports of a man stabbed at a residential address in Lumley Flats on Pimlico Road. A London Air Ambulance also attended along with officers but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Bonner of the Homicide and Major Crime Command is leading the investigation and appealed for more information. He said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area near Lumley Flats in Pimlico between 5.30pm and 6pm to contact us. There would have been many people in the area and they may hold vital information into what happened.
A 65-year old woman was arrested on Saturday (December 20) on suspicion of murder and has been bailed to a date in mid January.
