An 18-year-old man was stabbed to death on Saturday afternoon (October 15) in Wembley , police have confirmed.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to an address in Buddings Circle at around 1.35pm where they found the teen suffering from stab wounds.

London's Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service also attended the seen but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday (October 15) and remains in police custody at a north London police station.

Officers believe they know they identity of the stabbed teen, but await formal identifiction.

A post-mortem examination was held on Sunday (October 16) and found the cause of death to be stab wounds.

Police say enquiries are ongoing.

In a separate incident, a public appeal was launched by the Met on Sunday after a 21-year-old man was stabbed after leaving a nightclub in Westminster .
