A moped rider is fighting for his life after his vehicle was involved in a collision with other vehicles in Harrow on Friday (September 23) morning.

The 37-year-old was left in a life-threatening condition following the incident on Sheepcote Road at 7.25am.

At this early stage of investigation police believe the moped was involved in a collision with one or two vehicles - a van and car.

Neither driver stopped when the accident happened, but the driver of the car returned to the scene afterwards, and was interviewed by police under caution.

Paramedics took the moped rider to a central London hospital and his next of kin have been told of his injuries.

Police , who are investigating and are yet to make any arrests, are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them.
