London's Air Ambulance attended a crash in Hayes on Wednesday morning (May 27).

The advanced trauma team was dispatched at 8.08am and the patient was transferred to a local hospital for treatment, a spokesman said.

A white panel Renault van and a red Honda motorcycle were involved in a collision.

The motorcyclist, believed to be male, was taken to hospital for treatment to leg injuries.

The man's injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening and he remained in hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

An eyewitness reported a road block at the junction of Blyth Road and Dawley Road, in Hayes, with traffic being stopped in both directions.

This road is said to be one of the main roads onto and off of the M4, and was reopened at 9am.

Police and paramedic also attended the scene.
