A motorcyclist has died after a collision involving a black cab in Westminster .

It happened in the early hours of of March 20 at Hyde Park Street on the junction with Bayswater Road.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at 12.13am, where the man, aged 25, was pronounced dead.

He has not been formally identified but next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The driver of the black cab stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. A passenger in the vehicle, a man in his 40s, was taken to a central London hospital for treatment to a leg injury.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Merton traffic garage are investigating . No arrests have been made.
