A missing man from Acton has been found.

Michael Proudfoot, who has dementia and Alzheimer's disease, went missing on Sunday (April 16).

Metropolitan Police said on Twitter that the 70-year-old was found safe and well late on Monday (April 17).

Officers thanked everyone who assisted the search by sharing social media appeals.

The force said in a tweet: "Pleased to report that missing Michael Proudfoot, 70, of Acton, last seen in Westminster was found safe and well.

"Thanks for your RTs."
