A missing 10-year-old boy was found by an off-duty police officer in Hertfordshire following an appeal by police in London.

Malakhi Chijiutomi-Ghosh, who suffers from Adrenal Hyperplasia and requires medication three times a day, went missing on Tuesday morning (March 31).

Officers were concerned for his welfare as he hadn't had any medication and believed him to be in the Thornton Heath, Victoria or Croydon areas.

But a Met spokesman confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that Malakhi had been found by an off-duty police officer in Hertfordshire.

He added: "He has been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

"We thank the media for their assistance."
