Two men from west London are said to be under investigation in connection with the beheading of American journalist James Foley.
Reports have come in from The Telegraph that MI6 are trying to locate three men from London who they believe could hold vital information about the horrific act which was released in a video by Islamic State militants on Tuesday (August 19).
According to The Telegraph, former drug dealer and gang member Aine Davis, 30, of Hammersmith is wanted. He converted to Islam and flew to Syria to fight but his family refused to comment.
He is the husband of former Holland Park school pupil Amal El-Wahabi, 27, who was found guilty of funding terrorism earlier this month when she tried to get her friend, Nawal Msaad, 27, to smuggle £15,800 in her underwear to Turkey but was stopped in Heathrow Airport.
Mr Davis, also known as Hamza, asked his wife to arrange the delivery of cash to Turkey, next to Syria to fund Jihad.
Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, 23, a former rapper of Maida Vale is reportedly wanted by MI6 after he travelled to Syria last year and tweeted a picture of himself holding up a severed head.
He also has a similar accent, skin tone and is of a similar build to the man who killed the journalist.
Razul Islam, 21, the brother of NHS doctor Shajul Islam, of east London is also said to be on the list of suspected British jihadists MI6 are comparing with the British man known as ‘John’ from a group of jihadists known as The Beatles.
The Met police have warned watching or sharing the video of Mr Foley being beheaded in the Syrian desert may be an act of terrorism itself and the Foley family have requested people do not watch it.
