Raiders armed with a knife attacked and robbed a young man after they forced their way into a Harrow home.

The 23-year-old victim suffered what police called a "terrifying ordeal" in Woodgrange Close on Wednesday (June 17).

The Met said at around 2.30pm two men forced entry through the front door and confronted the young occupant.

Officers said he was punched several times in the face, causing a fractured nose, and repeatedly asked "where gold and cash were kept".

After being threatened with a knife, the man was taken from room to room where untidy searches were carried out and items including computers, phones and watches taken, say police.

Just before leaving the property the two men led the victim to the living room where he was told to get on the floor and not to call police or go to the door as "they had people watching the house".

Trainee Detective Constable Sarah Mendel-Lion, Brent CID, said: "This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim, so I am appealing for help to catch these two men before they strike again."

"I urge people to read the crime prevention advice on the Met’s website, which, amongst other things, includes many tips on securing homes."
