A search is underway to find a man wanted for rape offences in the Hounslow area.

Police launched a manhunt to find Michael O'Leary, 47, after he failed to answer police bail at Hounslow police station on October 3.

Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command (CASO) detectives want to speak to O'Leary in relation to historic offences during a four-year period in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "All the offences relate to non recent assaults dating from 1988 to 1992 in the Hounslow area.

"O'Leary was arrested in connection with the investigation in October 2016.

"He is described as white male, 5ft 6ins, medium build with short sandy hair.

"O'Leary has a tattoo of a dagger on his right arm with the word 'Mum'".

He is known to frequent the Hounslow, Richmond and Kingston areas of London.
