Police are hunting for a man wanted in connection with a serious assault which left a woman in hospital with serious injuries

Leon Wright, 28, is sought by police following the attack in Southall on April 29 which left the victim with serious injuries and needing hospital treatment.

The Metropolitan Police has launched an appeal for information to trace Wright, "wanted in connection with a serious assault".

A spokesman for the force said: "Wright is known to frequent the areas of Islington and Ealing .

"If you know of Leon Wright's whereabouts, or have information that could assist the investigation, please call Ealing Police on 101. For an immediate sighting, call 999."
