Police are appealing for information after a man was threatened with a gun in a West Ealing.

They have released CCTV stills of two men they want to speak to following the incident outside a pub in Walsingham Road, and are keen to trace a vehicle and cyclist seen near the scene.

Officers had initially been called to reports of a man injured following a fight outside Flynn’s Public House at 5.50pm on January 7. They had been told it had been carried out by two Asian males, but on arrival the victim refused to speak to police and left the scene.

But they were called back to the same spot at around 7.30pm, this time to reports that the same victim was being threatened by a man with a firearm. The suspect, who may have been with another man, had chased the victim in the direction of Singapore Road.

Officers attended the scene but all those involved had left. Following an examination of the area they do not believe shots were fired.

The man with the firearm was wearing a dark coloured beanie hat with a logo on the front, dark clothing and possibly a dark coloured body warmer. The person with the suspect was described as a black male, wearing a dark coloured tracksuit with a white stripe down the arms and legs.

During both incidents a white hatchback car was seen in the area and police are keen to trace this vehicle.

DC Pete Adi from Ealing CID is leading the investigation and said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of both incidents to come forward and speak to police.

“A function was being held inside Flynn’s Public House and while it is not thought that those involved in the two incidents had attended the pub, someone inside may well have seen something that could assist the investigation.

“I am also keen to trace the occupants of the white hatchback car and also a cyclist who rode up Walsingham Road at the time of the second incident at around 7.30pm.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Adi at Ealing Police via 101 quoting ref: 2500580/16 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
