A woman was knocked unconscious in a string of allegedly random attacks this week.

It was one of three separate and random assaults reported to be carried out by the same person in the Ruislip area on Monday (February 2).

The spate of alleged attacks also saw two other people targeted and punched.

Police arrested a man, believed to be in his late 20s, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has subsequently been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Three people who were hurt in the attacks received hospital treatment.

It is thought the man travelled to Ruislip on train before he walked to the nearby bus stands and allegedly attacked a bus driver, aged in his 40s.

He is believed to have fled to Pembroke Road, where he a woman, aged in her 40s, was assaulted and left unconscious on the pavement.

At a nearby retirement home, a woman, believed to be in her 30s, was assaulted.

The man was then apprehended by police and arrested, shortly after 10.30am.
