A man has been rushed to hospital after collapsing near a parade of shops in Cowley on Wednesday (February 24).
Neighbours were concerned when paramedics and what they thought was a 'crime scene' appeared in the area.
A passer-by spotted marked cars and a taped-off scene on Wednesday evening, near the parade of shops in High Road.
He told getwestlondon : "All we could see was someone being taken by ambulance.
"The person was too far away from the stairs to have fallen down. It was the side opposite the shops."
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) confirmed that were called at 5:29pm, to reports of a person collapsed.
An LAS spokesperson said: "We sent one ambulance crew and two responders by cars to the scene.
"We treated a man, reported to be in his 40s, in cardiac arrest.
"He was taken to hospital as a priority."
The Metropolitan Police were contacted and confirmed they did not attend the incident.
