Police are investigating a crash in Hayes where a male driver fled the scene after colliding with traffic lights on Tuesday afternoon (August 30).

The crash happened in Lansbury Drive at the junction with Uxbridge Road at around 4.30pm when a car hit the traffic light.

The Metropolitan Police said they are carrying out enquiries to determine the circumstances of the incident, but no one has been arrested so far.

It is believed no one was injured during the incident.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 4.30pm on Tuesday August 30 to reports of a road traffic collision in Lansbury Drive, at the junction with Uxbridge Road, Hayes.

"One car was involved in a collision with a traffic light.

"The male driver left the scene. No injuries were reported to police.

“Enquiries into the circumstances continue”
