A man was taken to hospital in a critical condition after a collision in Hayes on Wednesday (July 29).

Police were called to Harlington Road at around 3.20pm following reports of a car in collision with a motorcyclist.

Officers attended and found a male motorcyclist, aged in his 20s, suffering from a serious head injury.

London's Air Ambulance dispatched their advanced trauma team to the incident and airlifted the man to Royal London Hospital.

The man remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the car involved in the collision stopped at the scene.

Temporary road closures were in place and have now been lifted.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, in Alperton, continue to investigate and enquiries are ongoing.

No arrests have been made.
