A man has been taken to hospital after firefighters cut him from his vehicle in South Ruislip on Friday (August 7).

An adult male was said to be trapped in his car after being in collision with a lorry.

An eyewitness told getwestlondon: "The victim was cut out but able to walk free. The road is closed in both directions."

London Ambulance Service also attended and took the injured man to hospital.

London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called at around 1.30pm to the junction connecting Malvern Avenue and Field End Road. Two fire engines were sent to the scene.

An LFB spokeswoman said: "The man was released from the vehicle and LFB finished operations at 2:48pm."

Metropolitan Police also attended the incident.

The 282 bus was affected by the road closures.

Roads were reopened and operational by 3:30pm.
