A man from Knightsbridge has been charged with making online threats to a woman, believed to be Brexit High Court campaigner Gina Miller.

Rhodri Colwyn Philipps was charged with malicious communications with racially aggravated factors on Tuesday (March 7).

The 50-year-old has been released on bail to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on April 4.

He was arrested by officers from the Met’s Operation Falcon on January 25 after a complaint was received concerning threats made online against a 51-year-old woman.

Ms Miller was behind a successful High Court challenge which deemed Parliament should vote on whether the UK can start the process of leaving the EU.
