A man arrested on suspicion of murdering Pardeep Kaur from Hayes has been held for further questioning after walking into a police station on Monday (October 31).

Ms Kaur, 30, was found dead on waste land under the Harlington High Street flyover on Saturday October 22, six days after she went missing.

She was reported missing on the evening of Monday October 17 when she failed to return home from work as a housekeeper at a Heathrow hotel.

The arrested man walked into a police station in Slough at around 5pm on Monday where he was detained by officers.

Police are able to hold a person for up to 24 hours before charging or releasing them, but they can also apply to hold a suspect for longer in serious cases, such as murder.

The man can now be questioned by the Metropolitan Police for a further 36 hours.

A post-mortem examination held on Tuesday October 25 failed to discover a cause of death for Ms Kaur.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday October 19 but were released on Monday October 24, and police said they were confident they could be ruled out of the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Met on 02083580200.
