A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a collision in Hayes, which took the life of a motorcyclist.
Police were called just before 6am, to reports of a motorcycle in collision with a BMW car in Shepiston Lane, close to the fire station, on Saturday, 20 February.
The London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended but the male motorcyclist, aged 46, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed but formal identification has yet to take place.
A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
The driver of the BMW, a 29-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He was taken to a west London police station and bailed pending further enquiries to a date in late May.
Traffic officers are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision.
