A number of roads in west London are subject to closure and roadworks next week and road users are being advised to check their route before travelling.

Work continues on Fulham Road between Gunter Grove and Evelyn Gardens until October 4 and sewer repair works are forcing a road to close in West Brompton.

A number of roads are subject to restrictions around Hyde Park due to ongoing work on the Cycle Superhighway.

Below is a list of some of the road closures and roadworks which could affect your commute to work.

Hillingdon and Brentford

Motorists should be aware the M4 and junction 4 Heathrow Spur is closed eastbound during the night from Monday (October 2) until Friday (October 6).

The closure is to facilitate resurfacing works.

A diversion will be in place via the exit slip, rejoining via the entry slip.

The M4 will also be closed for night works M4 eastbound between junction 3 for the A312, Hayes and junction 2 for the A4, Brentford, for resurfacing.

West Brompton

There are closures in place to facilitate sewer works

The B317 North End Road is closed in both directions between Lillie Road and Sedlescombe Road to facilitate sewer repair works.

Closures will be in place until Saturday, October 28.

Kensington and Chelsea

Fulham Road is closed in both directions between the A3220 Gunter Grove and Evelyn Gardens and westbound at the junction of Beaufort Street for on-going National Grid gas main replacement works.

Closures will be in place until October 4 and two way temporary signals are in place at the junction with Elm Park Gardens.

Maida Vale

Transport for London (TfL) is warning of possible delays on the B414 Elgin Avenue northbound between Harrow Road and Chippenham Road until October 13.

Lane restrictions are in place due to carriageway repair works and there is no access to Elgin Avenue from Harrow Road.

Pimlico

Eccleston Square is closed in both directions at the junction of Belgrave Road until Tuesday, October 10.

According to TfL, the closure is due to utility works.

Westminster

There will be various restrictions in place on Birdcage Walk, Hyde Park Corner, Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate, until October 6.

Overnight on Thursday (October 5), Bayswater Road will be closed at Lancaster Terrace from 8pm until 5am.

It is to facilitate works for the Cycle Superhighway, which will provide cycle routes from outer to inner London.
