The weekend is coming to an end, and the dread of the Monday morning rush hour is hanging above our heads.

Before you head out to work though, make sure you check the roads as there will be roadworks and road closures in west London.

Here are some of the planned works which could affect your travel next week.

Chiswick

Electrical installation works continue this week in Chiswick.

Both directions of the M4 carriageway including Heston Services and junction 2, will be closed overnight for five nights from Monday, March 20, between 10pm and 5.30am.

Motorists will be diverted via the A4 and the A312.

Also in Chiswick, Transport for London (TfL) continue to warn of possible delays in both directions on the A406 Gunnersbury Avenue at the junction of Power Road in Chiswick .

It is due to the closure of Power Road for continuing bridge replacement works.

Works began in June 2016 and will be completed on Thursday January 4 2018.

Hounslow

Work carrying out safety inspections continues this week on the M25 at junction 14.

The Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 entry link road will be closed overnight on Sunday, March 26, between 10pm and 5am.

A diversion will be in place via the M25 clockwise to junction 13 and return.

Also in Hounslow , work to maintain safety by carrying out carriageway surveys will start on the M4 this week.

The link roads from the M4 at junction 4b, in both directions to the M25 anti-clockwise, will be closed overnight between 10.30pm and 5am, on Sunday, March 26.

A diversion will be in place via the M25 clockwise to M40 junction 1 and return.

Uxbridge

Uxbridge High Street will be closed in both directions between Harefield Road and Belmont Road from Monday, March 20 until Thursday, March 23.

The road will be closed from 8pm until 5pm for resurfacing works.

Kensington and Chelsea

TfL is warning of possible delays during peak times on the A3220 Warwick Road at the junction of Earl's Court Square.

Earl's Court Square opposite Kempsford Gardens is closed until April 7, to facilitate cycle grid works.

Ruislip

The A4180 High Street, southbound will be closed between Eastcote Road and Ickenham Road in Ruislip , to facilitate carriageway reconstruction works.

Works will continue until May 7.

Westminster

There will be various restrictions in place on Birdcage Walk, Hyde Park Corner, Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate, until April 17

It is to facilitate works for the Cycle Superhighway which will provide cycle routes from outer to inner London.

Fulham

Parsons Green Lane will be closed northbound between New King's Road and Fulham Road whilst utility works are carried out.

TfL advise road users to take an alternative route.

Works are set to continue until April 30.

Knightsbridge

Work continues until April 2019 during the redevelopment of 55 to 91 Knightsbridge .

It is affecting the A4 in Knightsbridge in both directions between Wilton Place and William Street and the westbound bus lane is closed.
