A canine taken in by police officers after being spotted weaving through traffic in Westway has been reunited with its owners.
Giving her water and plenty of rest, the pooch was given to Battersea Dog and Cat's Home on Tuesday December 27 after there were no leads on who its owner was.
But shortly after, Nikita the dog was reunited with her owner at last.
The Met said animal welfare is important to them
Inspector Richard Berns wrote on social media: "We found this dog running in and out of traffic on the Westway.
"She is safe now but Insector Gorse wants to take her home."
The force later wrote: "Really touched by all the retweets today for our furry friend.
"As police we have a lot to focus on but animal welfare means a lot to us."
