A 42-year-old lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving after a 21-year-old cyclist died outside Knightsbridge Underground Station on Monday (October 31).
Emergency services found the young cyclist seriously injured and he was pronounced dead at the scene at around 1.15pm.
The cyclist's family have been informed but he has not been formally identified.
Police say a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
After the driver of the HGV stopped at the scene, he was arrested and taken to a west London police station for questioning.
Road closures were put in place on Monday afternoon but have now been lifted.
The Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit is looking into the incident.
