They added:

South Western Railway are working to recover any delays and train services may be altered or cancelled at short notice.

South Western Railway update

A spokesman said:

Following several minor train related issues this morning, including delays to three services caused by overrunning works, South Western Railway are experiencing some congestion between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction. These, in conjunction with the special train plan in place due to today’s Network Rail engineering works and subsequent reduced infrastructure in certain locations, have caused other trains to experience delays. This is because South Western Railway have less capacity to run trains and their timetable has less flexibility in the event any minor incidents arise.

What South Western Railway are doing

A spokesman has said:

Owing to over-running engineering works in the Vauxhall area this morning, some Reading and Windsor services approaching London Waterloo were delayed on their approach.

This has resulted in a queue of trains forming and outbound trains on Reading, Windsor, Hounslow/Richmond circular and Richmond/Kingston to be disrupted on their outbound journeys from London Waterloo.

South Western Railway are working to recover delays as quickly as possible, this may result in short notice alterations being made to your train service.
